I get some interesting emails from time to time. Just like the rest of the world I suppose.
Here’s one I got a couple of weeks ago. The interesting thing is the fact that I haven’t updated my profile on Monster.com in oh, 7 years.
I really wanted to take this job, but it seems it might be a scam. I don’t know. You be the judge.

Yes the Financial agent Job is a scam. it does pay very well though because when the police do finally catch up to you for depositing stolen checks and re-routing stolen merchandize (another popular scam) they will find that a good percentage goes to you and since your not telling them who you really work for they will send you to prison, after all you did take a nice cut of the profit.

I KNOW.. too fucking funny.. I always like to make money for criminals. It really does make me feel better about myself.
Just a clarification, I left all of the formatting and oddball text that was in the original email above.
What you see is what I got.
Usually that oddball text is a dead giveaway that a post, whether it’s an email, craigslist or whatever, is bogus.
Why not reply to the posting and forward any contacts or checks to the police? Would they really be dumb enough to think they won’t get caught?
Cause I have far better things to do with my time, and besides, its more fun to bitch about it on here.
