Something Important (For Once)

Look, I’m not going to get all self-righteous or anything, but now is your chance to stand and be counted for once. Sign this petition and reign in the fascist government. Be part of the solution for once instead of being part of the fucking problem. In less time than it took you to cast your “vote” on American Idol, you can be involved in something genuinely important.
Unless you’re one of those whiny pussies that think no one should own guns but the Police, go sign the petition. If you are one of those aforementioned pussies, find an elderly person with a number tattooed on their forearm and ask them how they liked life under the Nazis, because that’s what you have to look forward to. Oh, and don’t call me when they come grab your ass in the middle of the night and stick various farm implements into it. Consider yourself “Fuck You”ed from me already.
Washington D.C. is tangible proof for even the most ignorant sheeple that gun control does absolutely nothing to curb violent crime. And to disarm an entire city (while walking the streets of that city with armed guards) is just a horrible way to prove a point. Personally, with the exception of the museums and memorials, you could raze the whole fucking city and it wouldn’t bother me a bit.
The answer to this issue is so simple, I just don’t know how it has been missed!?!
The problem is NOT the guns!!
The problem is the repeat felon using it!!
The simple solution is this : Keep the violent felons locked up for more than 3-5 years !!
If that was the case, there would be no repeat offenders, at least not outside the prison yard. Space could be made for the REAL criminals if cannabis was decriminalized. It should be obvious by now that NO law can keep a person from getting a gun. There are laws NOW preventing felons from buying guns (legally), but that only drives them to the streets. If a felon KNEW that he was found with a gun that he would go to prison until he was too old to use one again, that MIGHT be a deterrent.
Again, the trick is to keep the violent people LOCKED UP!
If we could count on that, then the whole gun control debate would be mute!
Well, you know I went and signed it. I wish it really would make a difference. Unfortunately, this country is so completely fucked up, I doubt it. But hey, you have to at least try to make a difference and get your voice heard.
