The Death Penalty
June 2nd, 2008 by fruitloop(Sorry for butting in on your post, but I just wanted to let everyone reading this know that the site is now for sale.. Please see my post on the front page about this… Toodles, your pal, Nutcase)
Recently we watched a show about the death penalty and how bad it is. WTF? Personally I think the death penalty needs to be implemented more swiftly and more often.

Now I could drone on and on about statistics and all that bullshit, but fuck it, this is a rant. The only thing wrong with the death penalty is that it takes too fucking long to kill the evil bastards that are sentenced. That’s a bunch of bullshit. Secondly, it isn’t used often enough, because this country is full of a bunch of pussies who are all touchy and emotional about some fucking child molesting baby killer.
What the fuck is wrong with sheeple out there? Oh, silly me. Some fucking mindless drone told you that killing was wrong, even if that person is a murderer, and you just blindly believed them. Do you ever think for yourselves? No? I didn’t think so. Fuck, I hate sheeple. The reason that pond scum is sitting on death row waiting for Sparky is because he or she did something incredibly evil and horrific to one or more people. That person killed innocents. But suddenly you are all emotional about saving the life of that shitbag cocksucker? You’re a fucking moron. What about the innocent people he killed, or would kill in the future if he escaped or got released? Don’t they have any value to you?
I see it all very simply. Some fucking cumbode (see here for a definition of cumbode, the worst word ever) does heinous things to people and finally gets caught. Give the fucker a fair trial. (of course, that’s a problem that I’m not going to address here. This rant is about the death penalty, not actually getting justice to be served in the courts.) He gets convicted of his crimes, is walked into the next room and promptly snuffed out.
Why the fuck should my tax dollars go toward supporting this worthless fuckstain for 10 or 20 years while he sits in relative comfort on death row, watching TV, working out, eating decent food, getting better healthcare than the rest of us? Explain that to me. The fucker was convicted. Let’s just get rid of the garbage.
Now, you can get rid of this shit licker one of 2 ways, in my book. Quickly and unceremoniously. That’s definitely a way to go. A tad boring, but hey, what the fuck ever. Or, my favorite, make it a media circus. That’s kind of how it used to be. Put it on Pay Per View, sell tickets, make it for a week after the verdict so people have time to get there or whatever, then you could even have a lottery for who gets to pull the plug on the cumbode. I know Wingnut and I would volunteer. And fuck this being gentle bullshit for the murdering asswipe. Just kill him. Let the people decide how he dies. This is one instance where mob rule would be quite helpful and entertaining. The PPV money could go to the victims’ families. See how sensible it all is?
This isn’t about trying to turn the death penalty into a deterrent. People have reasons to kill, and threat of punishment isn’t enough. But, if someone demonstrates a heinous, sociopathic tendency to kill, maim, torture and rape, then that person does not need to continue to be a drain on society. This isn’t even so much about vengeance. If that monster is finally caught, then there’s no need to keep him or her alive at the expense of the rest of us.
What about the few people that are innocently accused, you might ask? Well, that’s a damned fucking shame. But that’s not a reason to avoid the death penalty. That’s a symptom of our poisoned legal system, full of corruption and bullshit. That needs to be fixed, of course, but that’s not in the scope of this rant.
So there you go. My take on the death penalty. Your comments are welcome as usual.
Wow.. I’m fucking amazed.
Something we both completely agree on.
Almost like I wrote this myself.
I agree wholeheartedly that, as Audrey II, the man-eating plant in LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS put it, “Alot of folks deserve to die!”
There are absolutely certain criminals on this earth who cannot be rehabilitated, or do not deserve to be. These lowest examples of human life do not deserve to be walking the planet with us, let alone usurping our tax dollars to fund their life. So when put in that light, I am absolutely FOR the death penalty and that will never change.
HOWEVER, justice is imperfect. Somehow, despite our best efforts, innocent people still get sent to jail for crimes they didn’t commit. And unfortunately, innocent people still make it to death row. Some are vindicated at the last minute, some only get their true moment of justice after it’s too late.
I guess what I’m saying is that the “Death Penalty Argument” isn’t always one of human rights - sometimes its an argument about how to fix an imperfect system before America comes to have even MORE innocent blood on it’s hands…
And one more thing - i don’t think one can write-off this slightly imperfect system with a casual “so be it” atttude when YOUR life and MY life and the lives of innocent citizens in our country are on the line. Because allowing that margin of error when it comes to human life is the exact in-road that our government needs today to take away even more our our civil liberties.
Again, please remember that I DO believe in the death penalty - I just don’t know how we can fix it to make it effective enough to rid the world of vicious criminals while keeping the rest of us out of the proverbial line of fire.
Excellent argument, Miss Peach. As I said though, the focus of this rant was pointedly away from the whole issue of innocent people being charged in error. I was focusing mainly on being pro Death Penalty. Which I am, in case it wasn’t obvious.
Back to our flawed judicial system. Well, fuck, it’s so unbalanced and convoluted now. I have no idea how it could be fixed. But just because it’s difficult doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be talked about and eventually dealt with. Of course, it will only get more convoluted and unjust and “Big Brother-ish”. But that’s for another rant.
Check out this article about the definition of justice…

It’s about the trials of the 9/11 conspirators at Guantanamo Bay, and how the victim’s families are all reacting differently.
The Death Penalty IS one of the most complicated topics that thinking, feeling Americans have to contend with. This article mentions the conspirators’ desire for martyrdom, and conversely talks about how “due process” is not necessarily something that every human deserves, just because they’re on our soil.
All very interesting stuff to think about.
